The staycation – holidaying at home in the UK – is set to be big news again this year. So, if you want an outdoorsy holiday with plenty of adventure on offer and you enjoy beautiful landscapes, Cornwall could be the perfect location for you. Take part in surfing, windsurfing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, scuba diving, or even Zorbing – Cornwall has it all! We particularly love the north coast, for its vast sandy beaches, so take a look at Polzeath holiday cottages, Rock cottages and spots in Padstow if you are thinking of this. There are also some great luxury holiday cottages in Cornwall – why not treat yourselves with the money you save on airfares and make some truly special holiday memories?

Crete is one of the most well known of the Greek islands – and for good reason. It’s a simply superb place to head to with family, as they will be welcome in any taverna and not be short of things to do for a second. From hanging out in the sea, to visiting mountains, gorges, rivers and lakes, Crete is great for exploring and perfect for relaxation too.

It’s a city that will make you feel as if you have just stepped back in time, which captures the imagination of all who visit it. Make sure you also take the ferry to the island of Hvar and visit the vineyards and castle, then admire the impressive super yachts, whilst sipping a glass of Croatian wine overlooking the marina.
