Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive at Srinagar Airport (Sonamarg-Kargil) 7-8 hours to drive 250 km

As you arrive at the airport in Srinagar, you will meet our tour representative, who will guide you through the journey. We will drive you to Kargil, passing through the Meadow of Gold (Sonamarg). Blessed by the lush green beauty of nature, Sonamarg is home to diverse and rare flora, such as silver birch, pine, and alpine flowers.

Enroute to Sindhu Valley, wet Zojila Pass, and Drass to reach Kargil. The place holds great value for the sentiments of the Indians. With its history, beauty, and the grace of nature, it is a place worth exploring.

On reaching Kargil, you will have dinner at the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 2 - Kargil to Leh

Start the day with breakfast and check out. Leh is our next destination. The route passes through Namkila and Fatula Passes, which are the highest passes on the Srinagar-Leh road. On the way to Leh, we will stop at Mulbekh Monastery, Lamayuru, and Moon Landscape. Continuing the journey, visit a few more attractions, like the Indus & Zanskar River Sangam, which offers a scenic sight.

The next stop will be Magnetic Hill, where vehicles defy gravity and move uphill. Later, you can offer your prayers at Gurdwara Pathar Sahib ji and proceed towards the Leh Hall of Fame. The Kargil War Memorial was built by the Indian army to honour the soldiers who lost their lives during the Indo-Pak War.

After completing the journey, we will drop you off at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 - Tour of Hemis, Thiksey Shey, and the 3 Idiots School Campus

Give your morning a perfect start with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. We have a day planned for exploring Leh. Start with a drive to Hemis Monastery, located 45 km from Leh. It is the largest monastery in Ladakh, with a museum on its premises. Then, visit the Thiksey Monastery, which is a twelve-story building preserving Buddhist heritage such as thangkas, stupas, wall paintings, statues, etc. It is famous for the giant statue of Maitreya and Dukhang (assembly hall), housing prayer books neatly stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk.

The tour continues to explore a series of Buddhist stupas and Shey Palace. It is the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. The next stop is the famous 3 Idiots School Campus, where you can recreate the moments.

Towards the end of the day, we will drive you back to the hotel for dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Day 4 - Tour of Khardungla Pass, 18380 ft., Nubra Valley, and Hundar Sand Dunes

Your day in Leh starts with a delicious breakfast before you embark on a new adventure. Check out from the camp/hotel, and we will take you on a scenic journey through Nubra Valley. Enroute to Khardung La Pass, the highest motorable road, is also known to be the gateway to Siachen Glacier.

The journey continues to Diskit Monastery, which was founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo in 1420 A.D. After offering your prayer, proceed to reach Nubra Valley. Check-in at the camp, rest for a while, and we will visit our last stop, Hundar Village. Here, you can enjoy a safari on a double-humped Bactrian camel in the dunes at Hundar.

As the sun sets, you will be dropped off at the hotel or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok

After breakfast, check out of the hotel or camp and get ready to reach the next destination of the tour. You will see Pangong Lake, passing via Shyok and Tang Tse. This route is short and scenic enough to make the journey memorable. Following the Shyok River and climbing up the mountain terrain, we will descend into Shyok village. The entire village is enclosed within the barren mountains, but it still appears quite picturesque.

We will reach Pangong Lake in the afternoon, and the day is yours to relax and enjoy the view of Pangong Lake.

Dinner will be served at the hotel or camp where you will stay overnight.

Day 6 - Pangong Lake-Leh

A beautiful morning with a delicious breakfast is all you need for the day. After breakfast, check out, and we will drive you to Leh.

Enjoy the journey, passing through the rivers, barren mountains, and rugged terrain. When you reach Leh, check in at the hotel, and you have the day to plan accordingly and the time is yours to explore the market, shop, and enjoy local food.
