Continuing your exploration, the next destination is Lachung, a charming mountain village where you'll spend two days. Here, you'll immerse yourself in the pristine beauty of the Yumthang Valley, often referred to as the "Valley of Flowers," and witness the summer grazing grounds of yaks.

Afterwards, you'll return to Gangtok for one more day to explore any remaining attractions. Your journey will then take you to Pelling for two nights, where you'll savor breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range.

From Pelling, you'll head to Darjeeling for a two-night stay, famous for its tea gardens and the iconic Tiger Hill. Finally, the vacation concludes with a night in Kalimpong, a serene hill town known for its orchids and colonial charm.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Bagdogra /NJP to Gangtok | Approximately 4 hour Drive

Upon your arrival at the airport or railway station, a warm welcome awaits, and your journey to the captivating destination of Gangtok begins.

Located at an elevation of 1750m, Gangtok ascended to its status as the state capital in the mid-19th century and has since experienced rapid development. The town's downtown area is adorned with imposing government structures adorned with traditional Buddhist motifs. Gangtok also serves as a convenient resting point for travelers heading to North Sikkim. Surrounded by monasteries and orchids, Gangtok offers a delightful experience for travelers.

You'll enjoy a restful night at a cozy hotel.

Day 2 - Explore Gangtok

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel before setting off on a full-day adventure to Changu Lake, located 35 kilometers from Gangtok at an impressive altitude of 12,400 feet. This pristine lake is fed by the snowmelt from the towering mountains that encircle it. Local legends suggest that lamas possessed the ability to predict the future by analyzing the colors of the lake's waters. Your journey will also include a visit to New Baba Mandir, and you will spend a comfortable night at the hotel.

Day 3 - Gangtok to Lachen | Approximately 5 Hour Drive

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel in Gangtok, and then set off on a scenic drive to Lachen, with en route stops to explore charming villages and picturesque waterfalls.

Day 4 - Lachen to Lachung | Approximately 2 Hour Drive

Kick off your day with an early morning excursion to the mesmerizing Gurudongma Lake and the serene Chopta valley. Following this, set off for a scenic drive to Lachung, where you will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 5 - Lachung - Yumthang - Lachung | Round Trip

Savor a delicious breakfast at your hotel before venturing on an excursion to the breathtaking Yumthang Valley and back. Generally referred to as the 'Valley of Flowers', Yumthang is home to myriads of flora and fauna, with an abundant display of rhododendrons and primulas. This valley also serves as the summer grazing grounds for the majestic Yaks.

Day 6 - Lachung to Gangtok | Approximately 06 Hour drive

Enjoy a scrumptious morning meal at the hotel followed by a scenic drive to Gangtok, the famous Kanchenjunga viewpoint in India. Reach there in the late evening and retire for the night at the lodgings in Gangtok.

Day 7 - Gangtok to Pelling | Approximately 05 Hour Drive

Day begins with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, followed by a captivating sightseeing tour in Gangtok. You will be visiting the Flower Show, Handicraft Market, the Institute of Tibetology, and the Do Drul Chorten. Later in the afternoon, set off for a scenic drive to the tranquil village of Pelling, located 120 kilometers ahead of Gangtok. Nestled in the western districts of Sikkim, Pelling sits at a towering altitude hence offers a breathtaking panoramic view of majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Day 8 - Explore Pelling

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel before starting on a full-day city tour, where you'll explore a variety of fascinating attractions. Your itinerary will include stops at Khechipalri Lake, Rimbi Falls, the Skywalk (ticket available for direct purchase), Darap Village, an Orange Garden, and the intriguing Rabtense Ruins. Day 9 - Drive Pelling - Darjeeling

Start your day with a delicious morning meal at the hotel and then set off for a delightful drive to one of the most exotic destinations in India, Darjeeling. Get glimpses of the most enchanting views of the snow-capped peaks of Kanchendzonga.

Day 10 - Explore Darjeeling

Start the day with an early sun riser trip to Tiger Hill (subject to permit availability) to capture an enthralling sunrise and the magnificent Himalayan Range, including the awe-inspiring Kanchandzonga and the legendary Mount Everest. Watch in wonder the myriads of changing hues of the sky just before the sunrise, and then witness the entire Himalayan range dipped in the color gold.

Afterward, return to your hotel for a delicious breakfast, and then set out for a city tour, exploring key attractions such as the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), founded by the legendary Tenzing Norgay after his triumphant ascent of Mt. Everest. Visit the Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays), the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sundays), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, the Tea Estate (view from outside), the Japanese Temple, and the serene Peace Pagoda.

Day 11 - Darjeeling to Kalimpong | Kalimpong a relaxed Getaway

Indulge in a scrumptious breakfast at your hotel prior to setting off on a scenic drive to the charming town of Kalimpong.

Kalimpong offers a great setting for a tranquil and rejuvenating getaway owing to its ideal location. Its mild climate has given rise to the fame of Kalimpong's exquisite orchids and gladioli. Historically, the Kalimpong region was under the rule of the Sikkim Rajas until the early 1700s, after which it came under Bhutan's control in the 18th century. However, following the Anglo-Bhutan war in 1865, it became part of Darjeeling. Scottish Missionaries arrived here in the late 1800s, and Kalimpong flourished as a hub for wool trading with Tibet until the 1950s. Today, it has transformed into a tranquil hill resort, attracting retirees and nature enthusiasts alike.

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the city's charm with a sightseeing tour of Kalimpong, where you will visit Mangal Dham, Durpin Hill, and enchanting flower nurseries. Relax and unwind at the lodgings in Kalimpong.

Note: During the Christmas and New Year period, certain hotels may impose additional charges, including a mandatory gala dinner. The hotel has not yet finalized the rates for these services. The supplement cost for Gala Dinner should be settle directly at the hotel.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Hotel reservations are contingent upon availability.
The standard check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 noon for all hotels.
Children under the age of 5 years will receive complimentary accommodations.
Children above the age of 5 years will incur charges equivalent to the cost of an extra bed/mattress, with or without a bed as per the hotel's policy.

In the event of currency fluctuations, adjustments in local government taxes, or fuel price changes, we reserve the right to revise the tour price accordingly.

After confirming services, if you wish to modify your travel arrangements (such as departure date or accommodation), we will make every effort to accommodate these changes. However, changes are subject to feasibility and may incur additional costs. Requests for changes must be submitted in writing by the person who made the booking. Any costs arising from amendments will be borne by the traveler or booking agent.

Please be aware that the hotel names mentioned above indicate that our rates are based on these establishments. Accommodation is not confirmed at these hotels until we provide confirmations upon receiving your acceptance. If any of the specified hotels are unavailable during the booking process, we will secure alternative lodging at a similar or the next best available hotel. Any rate differences (increases or reductions) will be communicated and adjusted accordingly.

You or any member of your party may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our office. The cancellation charges applicable are as per the published cancellation policy below:

  • 30 days or more before departure: 25% of total cost
  • 29 - 20 days before departure: 50% of total cost
  • Less than 19 days before departure: 100% of total cost

Terms & Conditions

If We Change or Cancel Your Holiday

We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you.

If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond our control (for instance, bad weather): - we shall first try to offer you alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn't already commenced. - If the tour has already commenced, then we shall refund the booking price/fee charged from you on a pro-rata basis depending on portion of the tour standing utilized by you. - In all circumstances, however, our liability shall be limited refunding to you the price we charged as the tour fees.

Change Your Holiday Plan

After confirmation of services, if you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date or accommodation, we will do our utmost to make these changes, but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be made must be in writing from the person who made the booking. All cost incurred due to amendment will be borne by yourself.

If You Have a Complaint

If you have a problem during your holiday, PLEASE INFORM THE RELEVANT SUPPLIER, (e.g. your hotelier, transporter etc.) and/or our representative IMMEDIATELY who will endeavor to put things right. If your complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up within 28 days of your return home by writing to us, giving your booking reference and all other relevant information. However, please be advised that while we are happy to assist you in the redressal of your complaint, if any, we will be able to extend only our best efforts in managing/coordinating your complaint with the respective service provider. All third-party service providers are independent contractors who at no time are under our control or supervision.

Our Liability to You

We accept responsibility for ensuring that your travel arrangements, which you book with us, are supplied as represented and promised to you. If any parts of your travel arrangements are not provided as promised, due to the fault of our employees, agents, we will pay you appropriate compensation if this has affected the enjoyment of your travel arrangements. Our liability in all cases shall be limited to the costs of your travel arrangements.

We do not accept any responsibility for any third-party services or service providers, like hotels, transport etc. For example, travel delays are the responsibility of the transporters and inefficient hospitality is the responsibility of the hotels.

We are only your tour operator and at no time do we act as managers for your respective responsibilities and personal obligations. We are therefore not responsible for your acts, misdemeanor, omissions, and neither are we responsible for managing any of your personal affairs; for example, we are not responsible for ensuring the safety of your personal belongings, travel documents, etc. at any time before the commencement of the tour or after it or during the tour.

Holiday Insurance

It will be your responsibility to purchase any sort of holiday insurance cover and we are not responsible for the same.

Exactness Not Guaranteed

We cannot and do not guarantee the exactness of any service that may be provided to you. For instance, photographs of the interiors of the hotel rooms posted on our website have been sourced from the respective Hotel management, the visual appeal of a room selected by you cannot and is not guaranteed by us. Similarly, while we assure you of enjoyable holidays, we cannot and do not guarantee or represent that such tour will be as per your mental perception, imagination or thought about such tours.

General Important Notes

In case there is any change in price the same will be communicated to yourself and only after your confirmation, we will proceed further. There will be no reduction for un-utilized services.

Surcharges may be applicable over and above the holiday price for the requested period. The same will be advised at the time of booking or prior to confirmations.

You need to make an advance payment at the time of confirming the tour and make the balance payment 35 days prior to the departure of the tour.

Forfeiture Of Deposits

We shall be within our rights to forfeit the non- refundable interest free deposit paid by you. In the event you cancel the booking, or on failure on your part to adhere to the tour payment schedule as informed in the documentation Check List, or in the event the visa of any country is not granted or you are unable to travel on the tour booked due to any reason whatsoever, including medical ground or sickness, the non-refundable interest free deposits shall stand forfeited, and the scale of cancellation set out in the How To Book section of the brochure shall be applicable and binding.
