Day 1 - Arrival in Ahmedabad followed by Road - 250 km/ 05 hours - Ahmedabad to Mount Abu

On the first day of the trip, you will arrive in Ahmedabad, and from there, embark on a scenic road journey of 250 kilometers lasting approximately 5 hours to reach the enchanting Mount Abu. Upon your arrival in Mount Abu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Located at an elevation of 1200 meters, Mount Abu stands as the highest point of the Aravalli Range within Rajasthan. This unique hill resort, nestled around a picturesque lake and cocooned by forested hills, offers a tranquil escape. Legend has it that the place's name, Mount Abu, is derived from Arbuda, a serpent who descended to this very spot to rescue Shiva's bull, Nandi. Beyond its serene ambiance, Mount Abu also holds significance as a Jain pilgrimage center due to the renowned Dilwara Temples. The region boasts captivating treks, idyllic picnic spots, and the romantic retreats of erstwhile royal families, offering glimpses into the bygone era of the Raj. You'll spend the night at your hotel, immersing yourself in the beauty and history of this remarkable destination.

Day 2 - Mount Abu Sightseeing

On the second day of your journey in Mount Abu, following a hearty breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore the awe-inspiring Dilwara Temples, which stand as exquisite examples of Jain architecture adorned with magnificent marble carvings. This temple complex comprises five splendid structures dating back to the eleventh and thirteenth centuries, showcasing the pinnacle of achievement in stone ornamentation. Your day's itinerary also includes a visit to Nakki Lake, where you can admire the peculiar rock formations, including the iconic Toad Rock. Additionally, you will have the chance to explore the Achalgarh Fort, home to the renowned Achaleshwar Temple which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Your day will conclude with another comfortable night's stay at the hotel.

Day 3 - Scenic Drive from Mount Abu to Kumbhalgarh | Approx. 220 km/ 6 hours

On the third day of your journey, you will leave Mount Abu after breakfast to reach Kumbhalgarh, covering a scenic distance of approximately 220 kilometers over 6 hours. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit Ranakpur, home to the largest Jain temple complex in India, which dates back to the 15th century. The primary temple in this complex is dedicated to Adinath, the first Tirthankar, and it boasts intricate carvings depicting mythological figures, patterns, and motifs adorning the walls, pillars, and domes. With a remarkable total of 1444 exquisitely carved marble pillars, each unique in its design, the temple complex is a true marvel. The delicate, lace-like interiors of the domes exemplify the Western Indian temple style, and you can also explore the Surya Temple and other Jain temples as side attractions. (Please note that the temples open only at 1200 hrs, and visitors are not allowed to wear leather belts, footwear, bare legs, or black clothing.)

After you visit Ranakpur, you will continue your journey to Kumbhalgarh. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Kumbhalgarh is renowned for its impressive defensive fortifications, dating back to the 15th century, which holds a strategically significant position and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The fort's 36-kilometer-long walls encompass palaces, gardens, temples, and water storage facilities. This fort is known to have been conquered only once in its history. In addition to the historical significance, Kumbhalgarh is home to a wildlife sanctuary, known for its population of wolves, as well as other wildlife such as leopards, antelopes, and sloth bears. Your day will conclude with a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel in Kumbhalgarh.

Day 4 - Road travel from Kumbhalgarh to Udaipur | Approx. 120 km / 3 hours

On the fourth day of your journey, following a scrumptious morning meal, you will be transferred to Udaipur via road, covering a distance of approximately 120 km and taking about 3 hours to reach your destination. Once you arrive in Udaipur, you can then relax in your hotel.

Udaipur, situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Pichola and embraced by rolling hills, stands in stark contrast to the arid deserts that characterize the rest of Rajasthan. As the capital of the former Mewar State, Udaipur holds a unique place in Rajput history, as it was the only Rajput stronghold to maintain its Hindu allegiance in the face of Muslim invasions. This enchanting city, resembling something out of a fairy tale with its marble palaces and lakes framed by encircling hills, was established by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559.

The cityscape is dominated by the magnificent City Palace, perched above Lake Pichola, which is adorned with romantic island palaces. Along the lakefront, you'll find picturesque havelis, ghats, and temples, while the bustling markets of the old walled city stretch out behind them. Udaipur's charm and beauty make it a truly captivating destination. You'll spend the night at your hotel, immersing yourself in the magic of this enchanting city.

Day 5 - Udaipur Sightseeing

On the fifth day of your itinerary in Udaipur, Kickstart your day with a delightful breakfast before starting on a half-day city tour. Your exploration will include a visit to the City Palace and Museum, which stands as the largest palace complex in India, seamlessly blending Mughal and Rajput architectural influences. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to see the 17th-century Jagdish Temple, take a scenic drive around Fatehsagar Lake, and explore Sahelion ki Bari, an enchanting ornamental pleasure garden adorned with fountains and marble kiosks. Your cultural journey continues with a visit to the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandir, also known as the Folk-Art Museum.

As the evening approaches, you can opt for a boat ride on Lake Pichola, a 4 km long and 3 km wide lake framed by hills, palaces, havelis, ghats, embankments, and temples. This serene experience offers breathtaking vistas of the city's skyline. You'll also have the chance to visit Jag Mandir Island, home to the exquisite Gul Mahal Pavilion. The day concludes with another comfortable night's stay at your hotel in Udaipur.
