Udaipur, the "City of Lakes," is a romantic oasis in Rajasthan, India. Its stunning lakes, notably Lake Pichola, are adorned with palaces like the Lake Palace and the City Palace, showcasing Rajput architectural grandeur. Udaipur's vibrant bazaars, Saheliyon-ki-Bari gardens, and the mesmerizing Jag Mandir temple create a charming atmosphere. Boat rides on Lake Pichola and exploring the historic streets are popular activities. The city is a hub of arts and culture, and its rich heritage is reflected in its cuisine.

Mount Abu, Rajasthan's only hill station, offers a refreshing escape. It's home to the serene Nakki Lake, the famous Dilwara Temples known for their intricate marble carvings, and Guru Shikhar, the state's highest peak. The cool climate, lush forests, and stunning viewpoints make it a popular retreat. Sunset views at the Sunset Point and leisurely walks along the Nakki Lake promenade are must-do activities. Mount Abu provides a unique contrast to Rajasthan's arid landscape, making it a serene hill station getaway.

Day 1 - Udaipur Arrival

Upon your arrival in Udaipur, you will be transferred to your hotel. Udaipur, nestled on the shores of Lake Pichola and encircled by rolling hills, stands in stark contrast to the arid deserts that define much of Rajasthan. Serving as the capital of the ancient Mewar state, it remained steadfast in its Hindu heritage amid Muslim invasions. This alluring city, adorned with marble palaces and surrounded by a crown of hills, was established by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559. The city's skyline is dominated by the majestic City Palace, offering breathtaking views of Lake Pichola and its mesmerizing island palaces. Along the lakefront, you will find picturesque havelis, ghats, and temples, while the bustling markets of the historic walled city lie just beyond.

Enjoy an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2 - Exploring Udaipur

Following a delicious breakfast at the hotel, embark on sightseeing. Your itinerary includes a visit to the magnificent City Palace and Museum, the largest palace complex in India, which beautifully fuses Mughal and Rajput architectural styles. Explore the 17th-century Jagdish Temple, take a scenic drive around Fatehsagar Lake, and wander through Sahelion ki Bari, a charming ornamental garden adorned with fountains and marble pavilions. Later, immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the region at Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandir, also known as the Folk-Art Museum.

In the evening, consider taking a boat ride (available for an additional fee) on the expansive Lake Pichola, covering 4 km in length and 3 km in width. This picturesque lake is surrounded by hills, palaces, havelis, ghats, embankments, and temples, offering breathtaking vistas of the city. Explore the Jag Mandir Island, featuring the exquisite Gul Mahal Pavilion.

Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3 - Udaipur to Mount Abu - A Scenic Drive of 185 km / Approximately 4 Hours

Savor a great breakfast meal at the hotel and then embark on a picturesque road trip to Mount Abu. Upon reaching Mount Abu, you will be transferred to your hotel. This charming hill station, enveloped by forested hills and built around a serene lake, is a unique gem in the state. According to legend, its name, Mount Abu, is derived from Arbuda, a serpent that descended here to rescue Lord Shiva's bull, Nandi. Apart from being a delightful hill retreat, Mount Abu also holds significant religious importance for Jains due to the renowned Dilwara Temples. The region offers captivating treks, idyllic picnic spots, and historic royal retreats once cherished by various royal families from the Raj period.
